Please bring the original MOT refusal certificate (VT30) with you and present it at the MOT centre on arrival
-
Vehicles retested within 10 working days of the issue date of MOT refusal certificate (VT30) only need a retest on the failure items and their associated components.
-
You’ll only need a partial retest if you take the vehicle from the test centre for repairs and take it back within 10 working days. You can be charged a partial retest fee for this.
-
It’s illegal to drive without a valid MOT. If your car has failed, and the date on your certificate has passed, you can only drive your car to be repaired or to a pre-arranged MOT appointment, and only if it is roadworthy.
-
A Full MOT test will be required at full price if the 10 working days have elapsed.
